Natural Adrenalin – Can You Put That In a Bottle?

Standard

I, like millions of other people, live with daily pain. It is horrible to have to live with so much pain that just sitting, standing and many other day-to-day movements can cause. We take so many things for granted when we are young.

And I,  just like millions of other people, have been given so many medications and tried so many treatments that may mask the pain temporarily, but nothing really seems to work. If anything, when the medications or treatments wear off, the pain seems to have intensified, because the original problem is still there.

Of course, a “cure” may never be found. If it does, it is probably a long way from being discovered. However, what I have found is that music and dancing give me a boost of energy that makes me “forget” the pain. It takes me to another level that I can’t explain, but at that time and place, I feel good. Really good. Awesome, even.

13934764_10209723720917360_1638781542874610390_nStrange how I am not able to move one minute, but let me hear some of my favorite songs, and I jump up and just start moving. I am not a good dancer, by any means, but that’s never stopped me! If, however, a disability lawyer would just happen to see me, they would tell me that there is no way that I am disabled. They would swear there is nothing wrong with me and that I am quite capable of standing on my feet all day.

Yet, it is the adrenaline that gives me the motivation for just that moment in time. Unfortunately, I can’t play music and dance at a workplace all day long. I have to get to business eventually. And when I stop, the pain comes back. Sometimes with a vengeance, because of the dancing.

So, how can I capture this feeling and save it inside of me to last throughout the workday? Can this stuff be bottled and taken as needed? It would be a wonder drug. It would be the most natural medication there is. If scientists could figure out a way, this would be the miracle product we’ve all been waiting for!

Until then, I will have to keep my dancing and bursts of energy to myself.
