Who needs relationships? Can’t we just have sex?

Standard

So, who ever decided that exclusive relationships between two people was the only way to go? I mean, cheating would be eliminated completely if we could just be with who we want to be with whenever we wanted to be with them, right? Why dedicate years of your life to just one person? Just spend some quality time together and then move on.

Sexual urges are natural and can happen at any time whenever two people experience things together. Different situations can bring people closer, like a work assignment, an accident – any number of things. If you’re dedicated to one person, you have to somehow pretend you’re not human with natural urges. How do you do that?? Slip-ups happen all the time.

OK, so I’m a married woman myself. I enjoyed a wild single life and I didn’t even think about marriage until I met my husband. I guess it’s just what you eventually do. You find someone that you think you can live with for the rest of your life. And I think that I can do that with my husband. But sometimes the thoughts are there. Not thoughts of cheating, but thoughts of why do I do things differently out of consideration of being a married woman.

I miss a lot of simple things, like being able to read a book in peace. I wish I could just eat a quick snack, but instead cook up a meal for the two of us. I want to go on a diet, but then I’d have to cook separate meals or tell him to fend for himself, and that’s not right.

And then there’s the sex. To be honest, I wish we were having more. Much more. Our married sex has gotten down to maybe only once or twice a month, seriously. He can’t perform as well as he used to, and I don’t like to force him, so….. So, yeah, that’s why I find myself coming back to these ponderings.

I’m Dying

Standard

I’m dying. And so are you. And so is everybody.

We are dying the moment we arrive. Actually, we are dying before that. We are dying in our mother’s womb. Some never even make it out alive. From the moment we are created, we are dying. Therefore, why don’t we live like it? Why don’t we live like we are dying?

So, then, why don’t we live like it? Why don’t we live like we are dying?

Our lives should be full of love and joy and living for the moment. You hear it all the time: “Live each day as if it were your last”. Yet, why don’t we?

UntitledOur impending death seems to always be forgotten. We whine and complain about aches and pains and all sorts of irrelevant things. Even then, death is the farthest thing from our minds. If we did think about it, though, we would probably not feel our pain as strongly. We would not complain about stupid, trivial things that our loved ones do.

If you’ve ever had someone who was close to you pass away, then you most likely thought back on all of the things you could have changed while they were alive. Even if you were close, there are always feelings of remorse about how you could have done something differently, and now it’s too late.

We think these thoughts and feel remorse for a while, and then we forget. We go back to our daily lives and routines until the next eye-opener.

When we are born, we come into this world just like everyone else. No matter what status or wealth our parents have, we all come in the same way. What we do with our lives is up to us. What we make of ourselves is up to us. When we are young, our lives are manipulated and shaped by other people. Once we become aware of life and our surroundings, it’s up to us to make something of ourselves.

Only by making it a habit of living our lives right from the beginning and teaching our children how precious life is, is the only way to fully enjoy the short time that we are given. It’s the way to set an example for future generations and maybe bring some peace to this world of hate we’ve become.

Why Can’t We Just Be Human?

Standard

It’s amazing how the world gives us everything we need. Vitamins in fruit, plants that heal, air to breathe, etc. We just have to figure out how to utilize it. Yet, our culture is so busy looking for ways to stop life from happening, that we are holding ourselves back without even realizing it.

Think about it: Why is it so easy for animals to figure out what they need? How do they understand the ‘laws’ of their world and automatically know how to find food, reproduce and how to care for their young?

12068927_10207354469007543_8723815248432365032_oBirds, for example, have very small brains. Yet they ‘know’ things. They know where to live and build nests. They know how to regurgitate food and feed their young. They recognize people.

Think about ants. Look at their colonies. Look how they are able to carry so much food away. How do they all come up with the whole ‘queen’ thing and understand how it works?

These are just examples of nature. So, why can’t humans be natural?

First of all – humans have to be PC (politically correct). Everything is offensive, so you have to watch what you say or do.

Also – watch your back. If you do something you shouldn’t be doing and it offended no one – even something as minor as smoking a joint – someone will have to report you because they have nothing better to do and they saw you commit a crime. By the way – marijuana is a plant which makes ill people feel better. Yet, humans have to come up with laws about it. It’s a freakin’ plant!!

Yes, there are crimes committed. Yes, there are robberies and murders. This sounds harsh, but why not let the parties affected handle the perpetrator? I am quite sure that the family of a young child who has been raped will justly deal with the offender. Isn’t that a harsher sentence than one where the taxpayer pays for a jail cell and meals for this waste of space? Isn’t it more justified? Maybe that would be a better answer to stopping this type of behavior.

Shouldn’t people be allowed to love who they want, whether that person is of the same sex or not? If another person thinks that they need two wives or two husbands, and everyone involved is okay with it, then why should it be of any concern to anyone else?

If someone says things that you don’t like, don’t listen to them. They are entitled to their opinions. If someone believes in a different God than yours, or in no God at all, let them! It’s their choice. If it makes them a better person for believing in a power greater than themselves, or for not believing in it, isn’t that a good thing? If you have to resort to violence to prove that your God or belief is better, are you being ‘Godly’? And what does that say about your religion or lack thereof?

Bottom line – why can’t humans live by the laws of nature, without creating laws of human ignorance?

How are ‘natural’ things even up for debate?

Standard

Things that are natural shouldn’t even be up for debate. Same sex, smoking weed… If you don’t like it, don’t do it. That should be the only thing you should think about it.

If same sex people love each other and want to marry – why the hell not?? Who cares? Except for them , no one should care either way. People who love them should be happy for them. You don’t know how their marriage will turn out any more than you know how a marriage between a man and a woman will end up. What’s it to you? What do you care? How does it harm you in any way?

Cannabis – it’s a plant that grows. How can it be illegal? Who’s up for arrest? Mother Nature? It’s a plant and it makes people feel good. It makes people who are ill forget their pain. It makes people who are stressed forget about their problems. If you don’t like it, don’t smoke it. (Even though you are probably someone who might benefit from it.)

Some things just happen naturally or grow naturally, whatever the case may be. Why do people feel like if something is not for them, they have to be so dead set against it that they have to come up with laws about it? It’s nature, people! Leave it alone. Live and let live. Every person on this earth has something that they enjoy or do that is unique to them. Who are we to judge?
